In this episode, we meet Lori Beckstead, Associate Professor of Media and Director of the Allan Slaight Radio Institute at Ryerson University. Lori is a media scholar who is spearheading work at the intersection of podcasting and scholarship. Her work attempts to develop a “genome of podcasting” to develop a typology of podcast types. It attempts to develop a sense of what kinds of podcasts exists.
